If you’re someone who likes to keep a close eye on the dealings of the District, today is a big day. Two important hearings — one in the morning and one in the afternoon — are on deck, both of which many a DCist reader will probably want to keep an eye on. This morning, the D.C. Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration will hold its latest hearing regarding the liquor license of DC9. We’re not sure whether this hearing will produce any new information, but it certainly is drawing a lot of attention — according to TBD’s Sommer Mathis, one side of the hearing room is full of DC9 supporters, while several protesters have gathered outside the building. Obviously, we’ll keep an eye on this as it proceeds — things appear to be getting started now.

The second hearing is also an important one: a public hearing at the D.C. Council regarding the city’s streetcar plan. That hearing begins at 2 p.m. — if you can’t make it down to the Wilson Building, you can stream the Council’s feed here.
