It’s the least Metro could do after last weekend’s maintenance work caused single-tracking and delays on all five lines — this weekend’s work is limited to just a couple of disruptions on the Red Line. Its also the same work that Metro performed last weekend — so you should be well-prepared to handle it.

Red Line:
>> Between the Shady Grove and Twinbrook Metrorail stations, trains will single-track from 8 p.m. Friday through closing on Sunday so that Metro can continue repairs on a deteriorating platform at the Rockville station. Add 30 minutes to your travel time.
>> Between the New York Ave-Florida Ave-Gallaudet University and Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood Metrorail stations, trains will single-track from 10 p.m. Friday through closing on Sunday so that Metro can repair the track between the two stations. Add 15 minutes to your travel time.
>> On Saturday and Sunday, Red Line trains will depart approximately every 15 minutes from the termini at Shady Grove and Glenmont. Trains between the Grosvenor-Strathmore and New York Ave-Florida Ave-Gallaudet University Metrorail stations will operate about every 8 to 9 minutes all weekend.

Metrobus:
>> Also of note: there will be a few detours on 52, 54, 70, P6 and V8 Metrobuses between 8:45 and 11 a.m. tomorrow morning to accommodate the Help the Homeless Walkathon.
