Photo by mouhace_dc.Good Morning, Washington. Did you get your fill of shopping and stuffing your face? I’m actually writing you from up north in Boston, and I imagine many of you are reading from various relative’s houses across the country, not your homes in the DC area. That said, this is what is happening during this lazy holiday weekend.
>> Aww, if you’re looking to meet a special someone: ride the Orange line. In fact, get on at Vienna if you want to up your chances. Craigslist analyzed missed connections ads posted in the D.C. section over a seven-week period and found that Vienna was by far the stop that produced the most missed connections. However, you Blue line riders, no luck for you, Largo Town Center is D.C.’s least romantic station. There were no missed connections posts at Largo over the seven weeks Craigslist did its analysis.
>> More on changes to Metro’s SmartBenefits system: riders could lose unused funds at the end of each month, depending on how their employers implement the new system. >> Six male students at Dunbar High School have been arrested for the sexual assault of a female student. The alleged assault happened at the school on Monday.
>> A man was shot last night at approximately 8:30 pm in the 200 block of K Street NW, which IMGoph, eminent expert of DC neighborhoods, tells me is in Mt. Vernon Triangle. The victim has been taken to a hospital, but no more word on his condition. TBD says that there was more information on last night’s ABC 7’s 11 pm news and haven’t updated further, and well, I’m in Boston.
