Who had Week 15 in their “How Soon Will Donovan McNabb Get Benched” pool? If you did, it’s time to collect your winnings.

Despite completely overshadowing Jesus back in April and signing an enormous extension — which, fortunately for the Redskins’ front office, included an out clause — McNabb will reportedly be benched on Sunday against the Cowboys in favor of Rex Grossman, who was last seen fumbling after replacing McNabb in Detroit — or, depending on closely much you follow football, perhaps you remember him aimlessly heaving the ball in the general direction of the Indianapolis secondary in Super Bowl XLI.

The optimist in me hopes that the Redskins’ playbook, which has been limited to handoffs and three-step drops for a couple weeks thanks in part to McNabb’s inefficiency, will be opened up to see if Grossman can do any better. The fantasy football player in me just picked up Dallas’ defense.
