BIKE: Throw on some warm gloves, reflectors and, of course, a helmet and join Greater Greater Washington, DDOT official Gabe Klein (in a Santa Suit) and other cyclists for a bike ride and happy hour. The ride meets at the Reeves Center (14th and U Streets NW) at 5 p.m., where they’ll be collecting donations of winter clothing, and the happy hour takes place at 7 p.m. at Marvin (2007 14th Street NW).

FOOD & DRINK: New bar Blue Banana (3632 Georgia Avenue NW) opens tonight and celebrates with an open bar! Only select cocktails and beers will be included, but hey, it’s free, so no complaining. If you can’t make it tonight, they’re offering an open bar tomorrow as well. Doors open at 6 p.m. Free drinks from 8-9 p.m.

>> A Night of Bell’s at Meridian Pint (3400 11th Street NW) will feature 10 Bell’s stouts and Bell’s Porter. 5 p.m. No cover.

>> Pizza Paradiso’s three locations (Georgetown, Old Town and Dupont) present Year’s End Jubilation, featuring the World Wide Year’s End Pizza (Roasted Duck, Cherry/World Wide Stout Tomato Sauce, Garlic, Chives and Manchego Cheese) and an impressive holiday beer line-up (Bells Christmas Ale, Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary, Southern Tier Winter and Troegs Mad Elf, to name a few). No reservations needed.

SHOPPING: The Downtown Holiday Market (8th and F Streets NW) soldiers on everyday from noon to 8 p.m. until it wraps up this Thursday, December 23. Tonight, shop for baby gifts, jewelry, pottery, art and more while Tom O’Connor performs folksy tunes from 5 to 7 p.m.
