A few weeks ago, Granville Moore’s quietly added Saturday brunch service. The brunch, which starts at 11 a.m., features a short, but interesting collection of items that includes their signature moules meunière.
The house-made (and vegan) veggie sausage at Granville’s stands out on their brunch menu — it provides ovo-lacto vegetarians any number of options. It can be ordered on its own, as part of eggs benedict or in “The Good Doctor” breakfast sandwich, a tidy stack with a formed round of scrambled egg, cheddar cheese, chipotle mayo, and guacamole. If you’re a meat lover, you have the option of swapping the veggie sausage for crisp applewood-smoked bacon. If you want something more heavy on the protein, you can order the bison burger with fried egg or the bison bruschetta with tomato-basil salad and sunny side eggs.
And if sopping up the previous night’s debauchery is unnecessary, you can order the lime-scented Greek yogurt with granola and fresh fruit. Flavored with lime zest, the yogurt is run through a chinois for a surprisingly fruity flavor. The combination of the fruit and yogurt has a flavor reminiscent of Lifesavers.
An added benefit of the new service? The bar will remain open after brunch ends at 3 p.m., giving you a smooth segue into another evening of carousing.
