According to DCFireEMS and Metro’s Twitter feeds there was a body found on the tracks at Farragut North station. DCFireEMS’s twitter feed reports that there is “no rescue – PDOA – injuries incompatible with life” meaning the person is dead (PDOA stands for pronounced dead on arrival). Right now the Red line is single tracking from Dupont Circle to Gallery Place. We will continue to update this story as more news becomes available. UPDATE: As of 1:45 p.m., Farragut North station is closed and Metro confirms that a man was struck by a train, according to the Metroopensdoors Twitter feed. UPDATE 2: as of 2 p.m., Farragut North station has re-opened.
