Our Twitter feeds were clogged last night with several tweets like this one, wondering what the deal was with a huge police presence by the Woodley Park Metro station. But not to fear: it’s just Hu!

Of course, Chinese President Hu Jintao is in town this week for an official visit, including a rather secretive state dinner at the White House tonight. In between hanging out with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, Hu apparently made an appearance last night at the Marriott Wardman Park, the gigantic hotel at 2660 Woodley Road NW. Based on reports at the scene, there were a boatload of tour buses, people and police sent to maintain a general order.
