>> Remember that meth lab that was found in a Georgetown dorm that didn’t end up being a meth lab at all? The two students manufacturing the DMT, Charles Smith and John Perrone, have reportedly reached an agreement with prosecutors, likely pleading guilty.
>> And here’s your weekend metro delays due to scheduled track maintenance: the Red, Orange, and Blue lines are all affected. Trains are sharing tracks between West Falls Church and East Falls Church on the Orange Line. Trains are also sharing tracks between Friendship Heights and Medical Center on the Red Line. And for an extra burst of fun, trains are sharing the same track between Foggy Bottom, Clarendon, and Arlington Cemetery due to unscheduled track maintenance, affecting the Orange and Blue lines.
>> A Cooper’s Hawk has found its way into the Library of Congress reading room through a broken window in the reading room’s high dome. The staff have called the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, but as of their last blog post, the hawk is still in the building. They report that the Raptor Conservancy of Virginia was up in the dome all day yesterday with baited cages, waiting for the hawk to come in.
