WMATA’s Orange, Blue, and Silver lines were running far behind schedule on Thursday morning.

And Red, Orange, Silver, and Green Line trains will run on regular weekend schedules.

But most of the Metrorail system will operate as normal this weekend.

And trains will run every 10 to 24 minutes due to maintenance work.

Beginning Saturday, passengers will wait 24 minutes for trains on the southern ends of the Blue and Yellow lines during SafeTrack’s 13th surge.

Riders should prepare for 18 to 26 minute wait times on the Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange, and Silver Lines.

And trains will run on a Saturday schedule on Monday for President’s Day.

Farragut West, McPherson Square, Federal Triangle, Smithsonian, Federal Center SW, and Capitol South stations will closed for a “major weekend work project.”

Trains will run every 13 to 26 minutes.
