The Post reports that disgruntled Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth (yes, he’s actually still on the team’s roster, if you can believe that) has been charged with simple assault in connection with a road rage incident in Reston.
Haynesworth has not been arrested yet, but stands accused of hitting a 38-year-old man after the man made a “non-verbal hand gesture” in Haynesworth’s direction on Wednesday morning. Haynesworth, who was suspended for the last four games of the season after refusing to speak with head coach Mike Shanahan, will reportedly surrender to authorities next week.
Well, this should do wonders for Haynesworth’s already–sterling reputation.
