CRAFTS: The Mt. Pleasant Temporium, a showcase of craft vendors that includes DCist’s own Kelly Rand, kicks off with an opening reception. 7-9 p.m. Free.

MOVIE: X-rated and 3-D? You heard that right. At midnight tonight and tomorrow, E Street Cinema (555 11th Street NW) presents the 1970 erotic flick The Lollipop Girls in Hard Candy in 3-D. They’re promising jiggles that jump off the screen. Midnight. $10.

CIRCUS: The clowns, contortionists, animals and acrobats in Circa will entertain even those with the shortest of attention spans in their 46 Circus Acts in 45 Minutes show through February 20th at the Kennedy Center (2700 F Street NW). 7:30 p.m. $18.

READING: Amy Chua, author of Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother, stops by Politics and Prose (5015 Connecticut Avenue NW) to explain her strict/Chinese/abusive (you decide!) methods of parenting. 7 p.m. Free.

MUSIC: The Public Good aims to live up to its altruistic name by putting on a Benefit Concert to Support Public Media at Iota (2832 Wilson Blvd., Arlington). All proceeds from CD and merchandise sales at the show will be donated to PBS and NPR. 9 p.m. $10.
