Baltimore-based post-punk standouts Double Dagger have earned a formidable reputation based on searingly intense live shows during which the rhythmic assault of bassist Bruce Willen and drummer Denny Bowen anchors the vocal pyrotechnics and on/off-stage antics of frontman Nolen Strals. The trio hits the Black Cat Backstage on Thursday night, with Imperial China and Tiny Bombs in support. $8. 8:30 p.m.
