Good morning, D.C. Hope you’re recovering from yesterday’s high winds. Today seems to be pretty calm on the weather front, mild temperatures and some sun. Tomorrow looks even better with a high around 60. Am I the only one ready for Spring weather already?

>> Oh Marion Barry. Yesterday the mayor-for-life was quoted as saying that Vince Gray should hire friends for positions in his administration, because quoth Barry, “To the victor goes the spoils.” He continues to say he’s sick of hearing of cronyism and favorites, and why can’t Gray’s friends also be qualified for the jobs he’s hired them for?

>> Mike DeBonis discovers that potential D.C. Wal-Mart landlords Andy, Dave, and Jerry Schaeffer might be also landlords to a massage parlor called Spa Sky. Yeah, one of the illicit ones. Two of Spa Sky’s employees were arrested for solicitation this year. The Schaeffers own the parcel near New York Avenue and Bladensburg Road NE where Wal-Mart has proposed building a 126,000 square foot store.

>> If you were wondering, Segway tour groups can’t get out of D.C. licensing requirements because it impinges on their First Amendment rights of freedom of speech. Thanks for that, U.S. District Judge Paul L. Friedman.

>> This weekend is another one heavy with delays on the Metro. In fact, not a single line is spared from track maintenance: you have single tracking on the Red line, communication cables installed on the Orange and Blue lines, upgrades to the electrified third rail on the Blue and Yellow lines, and welding new rail to provide a smoother ride on the Green and Yellow lines. For the full details read Metro’s website.
