>> As we said in yesterday’s preview, legendary South African a cappella ensemble Ladysmith Black Mambazo will be at GW’s Lisner Auditorium on Thursday for an 8 p.m. show. Tickets are $25-$55.

>> Tyondai Braxton, son of Anthony Braxton, will appear with the 30-member Wordless Music Orchestra on Thursday at the Library of Congress’ Coolidge Auditorium. The ensemble melds instrumental rock, electronica and classical music in a program of works by Louis Andriessen, Tyondai Braxton, John Adams and Caleb Burhans. 8 p.m. Free with reserved tickets.

>> The Kennedy Center‘s maximum INDIA festival is proving to be a near total success. Unfortunately, many of the ticketed events are already sold out, including shows on Thursday and Friday with percussionist Suphala and saxophonist Rudresh Mahanthappa. Still, it’s worth checking out the full schedule for many excellent shows that are free and open to the public.
