Morning Washington, and happy Spring. Officially, at 7:21 p.m. the vernal equinox occurs, ushering in the new season. While it might not be as warm as the last few days, we still have plenty of sun and temperatures in the 50s to celebrate the new season.

>> The two college students who were arrested for manufacturing DMT in drug lab at a Georgetown dorm got probation for their crimes. Initially a judge had sentenced the two students to six months in jail, but suspended the sentence and instead will require them to complete three years of probation.

>> Last night was a violent one in the District. the dcfireems Twitter feed reported three shootings that happened over night. As of now, details are slim, but there were shootings on the 1300 block of 7th Street NW, 61st Street and Clay Street NE in an alley, and the 1300 block of H Street NE.
