It wasn’t much, but it did indeed snow around D.C. over the weekend. (We’ve managed to talk Davy out of driving to Punxsutawney to take his vengeance…this time.) On the plus side, the dusting delivered a rare chance for our Flickr pool photographers to capture the interesting sight of the iconic pink and white blossoms, sprinkled lightly with the white stuff. But will the winter-like weather and dusting have any effect on the health of the trees? Luckily, National Park Service spokesperson Bill Line told WTTG/Fox 5 that the trees should be “resilient.” Which makes sense: after last year’s blizzards, this is nothing!
