If you’re registered to vote in the District, but you’ve moved or changed political affiliations since the last time you went to the polls and are planning on voting in the April 26 special election, you’ll want to check out the Board of Election and Ethics website today — it’s the last day for D.C. voters to update their records via mail before the citywide election. After today, you’ll have to appear in person at BOEE HQ at One Judiciary Square to make any changes (or register) before the election. You can check your voter registration status here; if you find something that needs to be fixed, BOEE has an online tool which will guide you through the process of getting it fixed. And if you’re planning on voting for the first time in the District come April 26, you might want to register today — it’s possible to register at the polls, but there’s extra paperwork to be done and your vote is subject to BOEE officials being able to verify your information.
