A teenager was reportedly stabbed inside the National Zoo this afternoon. Around 4:30 p.m., D.C. Fire and EMS tweeted that they were treating a teenage male with “serious, potentially life-threatening” injuries on the 2900 block of Connecticut Avenue. WTOP reports that police say the teenager was “jumped and stabbed multiple times” inside the Zoo and that there are multiple suspects being sought in the crime. The teen has been taken to Children’s Hospital for treatment. Today, the Zoo was hosting “Easter Monday: An African American Family Tradition,” an event which drew around 20,000 people to the grounds.
