>> Brittany Norwood has been indicted in the murder of her Lululemon coworker Jayna Murray. Norwood could face up to life in jail. While police had already charged Norwood for the murder, the indictment moves the case to Circuit Court, which handles felony crimes. As of yet, no trial date has been set.
>> Stories of dueling fake ID rings in the news today. One, in Virginia, catered to illegal immigrants looking for green cards or Social Security cards. The other, at the University of Maryland, College Park catered to college students looking for high-quality fake IDs. Both men could face significant jail time for their respective fake ID rings.
>> Your weekend Metro delay report: expect delays on the Red, Orange, and Blue lines. On the Red line, trains are sharing same track between Grosvenor and Twinbrook and New York Ave and Rhode Island Ave stations because of scheduled track maintenance. On the Orange line, trains are sharing same track between Ballston and West Falls Church. On the Blue line, trains are sharing tracks between the Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street.
>> DCFireEMS is reporting there was a shooting on the 1200 block of I Street SE, near the Potomac Gardens public housing complex, this morning. No further details are available, we’ll be sure to update as more information comes out.
