On Friday, we took a quick peek at Peregrine Espresso’s new digs at 1718 14th Street NW — by far, the biggest question we got was “so, when will the place be open?” Soon, caffeine freaks!

According to owner Ryan Jensen, the coffee shop has its health inspection tomorrow morning, which, if all goes well, will allow them to start serving joe by the afternoon. But don’t get your hopes up too high — “I’m not making any promises,” said Jensen. (The business has had quite the struggle trying to get all its paperwork in order over the last week; their Certificate of Occupancy finally came through this morning.)
