Good morning Washington. The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is underway, so expect some additional pedestrian traffic and road closings around the National Mall. A friendly reminder that the Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street Metro stations are closed and there’s single tracking on the Blue and Red Lines this weekend. There will also be some road closings around the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and near Yorktown High School in Arlington.

>> More than 3,000 people say they are planning to attend a protest/dance party at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial at noon today.

>> The Nationals lost to the D’backs, D.C. United drew, and Ryan Zimmerman will be sent to Single-A Hagerstown for rehab.

>> John Edwards pleaded not guilty on Friday to federal criminal charges that he engaged in an elaborate and secret scheme to allegedly use $925,000 in campaign funds from wealthy donors to cover up an extramarital affair and out-of-wedlock child, but a conviction is far from a sure thing.

>> A D.C. police officer is charged with murder after a woman and her baby were found dead in Prince George’s County.

>> Fairfax County police are seeking more information about an incident at a Reston Dog Park where an animal control officer is alleged to have reached for his firearm and said, “Which one of you wants to get shot?” towards the animals.

>> The Catholic Diocese has filed suit against Arlington County over lights at Bishop O’Connell High School’s athletic fields.
