John Woodland, a 45-year-old with no fixed address, was recently sentenced to 15 years in prison for a series of robberies committed at ATMs in downtown D.C. — but one less than he had planned.

According to the Post, one of Woodland’s targets “began to pretend he was having a heart attack” during a robbery, which led the robber to flee the scene. Well, that’s an interesting strategy; we should probably be relieved that the man who faked his heart attack is using his acting skills for non-nefarious means.
