It’s been a brutal couple of days in and around the District.

>> Three men were shot Friday night in two separate incidents, one in SW and one in SE. The first incident involved two men in their late teens or early 20s – one suffered a shot in the arm, the other in the shoulder. In the second incident a man was wounded in the stomach, the leg and groin, according to police.

>> A Virginia State trooper was killed in a traffic crash Friday night in King George County. The driver and a passenger in the colliding car suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital, police said.

>> Luis Felipe Leonardo-Candelario, 17, was killed Thursday in the Bladensburg area when he was struck by a car that left the scene.

>> Police said that a body found in Maryland’s Marlton Community Park in March has been identified as that of 30-year-old Anthony Jerome Nelson. Nelson was reported missing in August 2008.
