TenPenh Restaurant serves its last ahi tuna burger and Chinese-style smoked lobster today. After 11 years at the corner of 10th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, the Passion Food group eatery will shut its doors after failure to come to an agreement on their lease. Accordingly, the restaurant will offer half-price wine with the purchase of an entrée and pour $2 beers all day.
The restaurant, which owns DC Coast, Ceiba, Acadiana and Passion Fish, has no plans to reopen the restaurant in a new location. Instead, they will focus their attention on two new ventures: District Commons and Burger, and Tap & Shake, opening later this year in the West End on Washington Circle.
