Alan Suderman’s rundown of Councilmember Harry Thomas’ bank records has given us all a chance to marvel at the Ward 5 representative’s enjoyment of Hooters, satellite television and 7-Eleven on D.C.’s dime. But there’s one expense not mentioned in Suderman’s story that’s also worth noting.

A quick perusal of Team Thomas’ banking documentation, published by City Paper this afternoon, shows that the account racked up $887.87 in overdraft fees and associated interest. Now, obviously, that’s a drop in the bucket of the hundreds of thousands of dollars which Thomas stands accused of misappropriating, but still — that’s pretty sloppy.
