Now that football’s officially back, let’s reset here. (Deep breath!)

Despite being one of the most overpaid players in the history of the National Football League, refusing to speak to his head coach, being suspended for the last portion of the 2010 season, having settled a road rage case where he reportedly hit another driver, and allegedly molesting a waitress inside the W Hotel last winter (a situation he originally tried to defuse by stating he didn’t like “little black girls”), Albert Haynesworth is somehow still a member of the Redskins roster.

I can’t be the only person — nope, I’m not! — wondering how in the name of all things holy Haynesworth still holds down a job as a professional football player. Then again, this is the Redskins front office we’re talking about here.
