Christopher Barry, the son of Ward 8 Councilmember Marion Barry, pled guilty to possession of marijuana and PCP in D.C. Superior Court this afternoon.

Barry was arrested in late May after police found a vial of PCP containing “sufficiently more than used for personal use,” as well as five bags of marijuana inside his Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SW apartment — as part of the plea deal, the original intent to distribute charge, a felony, was dropped.

Barry will receive his sentence on September 27.
