Pepco power outages are emerging across the D.C. region, with at least a few hundred people already affected in D.C., Montgomery County and Prince George’s County.
Elsewhere along the Eastern Seaboard, about 438,000 utility customers are without power in North Carolina and Virginia. Progress Energy Inc. reported around 250,000 customers without power in North Carolina and Dominion Resources Inc. reported about 188,000 customers in northern North Carolina and southern Virginia.
