The utility is estimating that all power outages caused by Hurricane Irene will be fixed by Thursday, though “most customers will have power restored sooner.”
If you’re still lacking electrical service at this moment, Pepco is asking that you report it by calling 1-877-737-2662. There are currently 3,869 outages in Pepco’s service area affecting 46,040 customers, 8,295 of which are located inside the District.
Also worth noting: Pepco’s Vice President Michael Maxwell held court with Post readers today, and had some interesting thoughts about the utility’s performance during the hurricane — including agreement that Pepco could really benefit from having a smart phone application.
