>> Prince George’s County police are looking for a stolen van. Spokesman Cpl. Evan Baxter says two Ford Econoline vans were stolen at different times from two different U-Haul lots in Temple Hills Saturday. Police recovered one of the vans Friday night. Police don’t believe they are anything more than stolen vans, but they’re taking extra precautions in light of recent terror threats.
>> D.C. police declared a “barricade situation” Saturday after a female mental health patient brandished a knife on the 5000 block of First Street NW. The woman eventually gave up her weapon.
>> Fairfax County police arrested Montrell Richardson, 33, after he apparently robbed the BB&T Bank at 6120A Arlington Boulevard on Thursday. Police are investigating whether Richardson is connected to other bank robberies in the area.
>> A 27-year-old D.C. woman was hit by a car and killed Saturday while crossing Suitland Parkway at Naylor Road shortly after midnight. The car left the scene of the wreck. If anyone has information about the incident, they are asked to call (202) 610-8737.
>> Davon Holmes, 28, of Northwest D.C., has been arrested and charged in the fatal stabbing of 24-year-old Marcellus Bailey on Aug. 3.
