Metro’s board of directors is meeting today, and the conversation has centered on crime. In addition to the discussion of hotspots and bold, one-time offenses, the topic of bike theft — a big problem at many stations, like New York Avenue — came up. As you can see, however, Metro Transit Police Chief Michael Taborn appears to believe that the spike in bike theft has a lot to do with the crappy locks bikers use on their too-pretty-not-to-steal bikes. Cue the cyclist outrage!
