UPDATE (1:53 p.m.): According to an update from the school, things are all clear on campus. In fact, the Capitol Police are now investigating whether there was even anyone with a gun on campus; according to Legal Times reporter Zoe Tillman, the Capitol Police said that reports of a gunman on campus were “unfounded.”

ORIGINAL POST: According to a notice sent through the campus’ alert system and a conversation with a source in the school’s public safety office, there is a man armed with an assault rifle in the vicinity of the Georgetown University Law Center campus, located at 600 New Jersey Avenue NW. The school’s campus safety department has instructed students to stay inside as MPD, Capitol Police and other law enforcement agencies investigate.
