Courtesy NBCWashington.The team of architects and engineers who recently got a bird’s-eye view of the city from the tip of the Washington Monument went back to work yesterday, inspecting the exterior of the National Cathedral for damage caused by August’s 5.8 magnitude earthquake.
At 234 feet tall, the Cathedral is less than half the height of the Washington Monument. But considering the increased elevation and unique vantage point the Cathedral provides, we’re hoping the team took some more eye-popping photos with their cameras while they were up there.
