Metrorail service was disrupted early this morning after electrical power to substations along the Orange and Blue lines was interrupted. Substations provide the electricity to the third rail, which allows Metro trains to move.

Around noon, Pepco restored full power to the substation at Stadium-Armory, but another one near Deanwood is likely to remain offline until tomorrow morning. Customers riding the Orange Line tonight may experience some reduced speeds between the Minnesota Avenue and Cheverly stations due to the interruption, though Metro says that should not cause major delays.
