Photo by Kevin H.This afternoon, one of the Apple Store employees who reportedly heard Jayna Murray being murdered by Brittany Norwood inside the Lululemon Athletica testified during the third day of Norwood’s murder trial. According to reports, the jury heard Jana Svrzo admit that she and another employee heard a woman “high-pitched squealing,” noises that sounded like “hitting” and a woman saying “Don’t do this. Talk to me.” and “God help me. Please help me.” on the evening on March 11 as they were closing the store.
The one question on everyone’s mind — why didn’t the employees in the Apple Store call the police if they heard what they say they heard that night — wasn’t really answered, at least not to the extend most would like it to be. The Post’s Michael S. Rosenwald, tried to catch up with Svrzo after she testified:
I asked her, “Was there ever any conversation about going to help, about doing something?”
Svrzo stared staight ahead.
Another reporter asked, “Can you say why you never called 911?”
Svrzo stared straight ahead.
“Is there a reason why you don’t want to explain that?”
Svrzo stared straight ahead.
We reached the lobby. And then she was gone.
The trial will resume on Monday morning.
