Attention, rag-cyclers of the District — Buffalo Exchange, the place where (I’m told) trendy folks in cities other than D.C. get their second-hand clothing, will soon be making its first foray into Washington. Opening in a space at 1314 14th Street NW, the Post reports, the chain — which has one of the more diverse publicity pages in history, with quotes from publications running the gamut from Seventeen and Good Morning America to the Mother Nature Network and Graphic Design USA Magazine — should fit in pretty well, what with the generally hot market for consignment around the city and the fact that they’ve already instituted their own “bag tax” of sorts.

Just down the street, more exciting news: the Washington Business Journal reports that Stephen Starr, he of Philadelphia restaurant fame, will soon be opening a French bistro inside the long-vacant former dry cleaners space at 14th and Q Streets. Prince of Petworth managed to pull some more details from a recent liquor license application, which notes that the bistro will serve “classic French cuisine for breakfast, lunch dinner and brunch” and feature 246 seats, including 44 along the sidewalk.
