It’s been nearly a year and a half since I was named the editor-in-chief of DCist. In that time, I have learned so much about this place, had several incredible experiences, and have worked with some of the most passionate, creative, intelligent people in the District.

That’s what makes it so difficult to announce that I’ll soon be moving on.

Until the end of November, I’ll still be behind the wheel here; I’ll save my proper goodbyes until then. (And don’t you worry about me — I’ll be working on a couple independent projects in the immediate future, but have no plans to flee the District of Columbia and will certainly be around.)

That said, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a job listing for the position, which will contain all the important details for those of you interested in applying. In all honesty, working here has been one of the most rewarding professional experiences I’ve ever had. I have no doubt that my successor will enjoy it just as much as I have.
