It’s been nearly a year and a half since I was named the editor-in-chief of DCist. In that time, I have learned so much about this place, had several incredible experiences, and have worked with some of the most passionate, creative, intelligent people in the District. That’s what makes it so difficult to announce that I’ll be soon be moving on.

Yes, the whispers are true: I’m delighted to officially announce that Martin Austermuhle will be joining the DCist fold as our second full-time editor. Martin’s first day on the job will be Tuesday, September 6.
