At approximately 11:45 this morning, D.C. police officers responded to the scene of a bank robbery inside the City First Bank, located at 1432 U Street NW.

A police spokesperson tells DCist that officers are currently on the lookout for a black male, approximately 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds and wearing a black cap; anyone in the area who has seen someone matching the description should contact police with that information at 1-888-919-CRIME.

There have been no reported injuries stemming from the robbery attempt; it’s currently unclear whether or not the robber actually absconded with any money or not.
