Who better than the man behind all those theories about the “high bohemians” to tell us where the myopic little twits are?

Over at The Atlantic Cities, Richard Florida presents the data — including the above map, which shows that, while Washington is pretty Twitastic, it’s nothing compared to New York and Los Angeles, each of which boast a much higher number of the top 500 most followed tweeters. Washington ranks fourth in the survey, landing 13 accounts of the 500. (Los Angeles has 125; New York, 89.)

Then again, since Florida’s post highlights only the most followed tweeters and not the density of all tweeters in a given metropolitan area, it’s not really measuring the whole picture here, which is that there are more than enough “myopic eyeballs that have been twittered shut to the real world [which] will be pried open so wide they’ll need new facebooks” to go around.
