This month, you might have noticed some rather unattractive facial hair on a number of men. For some, it was No Shave November. But for others, the month was Movember when many men took the time to grow mustaches not out of sheer laziness, a desire to look like a porn star, nor to avoid getting laid for a whole month. Rather they offered mustache rides to raise money to increase awareness of men’s health issues, particularly prostate cancer.
A number of local participants came from D.C. restaurants, including Smoke & Barrel, Proof, Estadio, and Hank’s Oyster Bar and Lounge. Boundary Stone also got in on the action, and you can check out weekly photo albums on their Facebook page. The various teams fundraised among their friends, as well as via various events.
Today is the last day to donate to the cause — you can donate to the teams or simply make a general donation.
