>> Watch another Christmas mainstay, It’s a Wonderful Life, at the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (2903 Columbia Pike Arlington VA) Fundraiser and Party for Children’s Hospital tonight and tomorrow. Both evenings will include holiday music and wine tasting from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., followed by the film from 7:15 to 9:30 p.m. Come dressed as Santa, Mrs. Claus, a Reindeer, a character from It’s A Wonderful Life, or wear an ugly Christmas sweater and receive four passes for a movie in the future. Tickets are $10.

SATURDAY
SANTA: Hide your reindeer and close the chimney flue, Santarchy DC is bringing hundreds of Santas to the streets this Saturday to sing carols, give out gifts, and hit the bars. Follow the the group’s Twitter account to track the marauding Kris Kringles. Begins at 1 p.m.
FARMERS’ MARKETS: Carla Hall, of Top Chef fame, and Richie Gunter of Operation Eatery will be providing cooking demonstrations at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. respectively, to help kick off Ward 7’s new farmers’ market: DC CHEW (intersection of Good Hope Road, Naylor Road, and Alabama Avenue SE). 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
>> Stop by the last Columbia Heights Community Marketplace (Civic plaza at 14th Street and Park Road NW) of the year to shop the Holiday Market and pick up fresh produce from local farms. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
SHOWCASE: A slew of comedians and musicians come out to entertain at The Capital City Showcase at the DC Arts Center (2438 18th Street NW) Saturday. 10 p.m. $10 online, $15 at the door.
THEATER: Take the holidays a little less seriously with Metro Stage’s (1201 North Royal Street Alexandria VA) production of A Broadway Christmas Carol. This weekend is your last time to see it. Grab tickets for Saturday at 3 p.m. or 8 p.m. or Sunday at 3 p.m. or 7 p.m. $45-$50.
MUSIC: If they’re in the holiday mood, perhaps Woods will play their cover of “Christmas Time Is Here” (from A Charlie Brown Christmas), when they play the Rock and Roll Hotel (1353 H Street NE) this Saturday with Purling Hiss, MMOSS, and Hume. 8 p.m. $12.

CHARITY: It’s the season of giving, so join in by donating shoes at the 5th annual Kicks for Kids Charity Shoe Drive & Concert at the 9:30 Club (815 V Street NW) Sunday. There will be live music from Meek Mill & Friends, Black Alley Band, Gods’Illa, and others. 5 p.m. Tickets at the door.
STORYTELLING: Stand-up comedians tell hilarious tales at the Story League Stands Up event at the 14th & V Busboys and Poets (2021 14th Street NW) 8 p.m. $10.
