In a particularly good episode of The Simpsons, Homer told Lisa:
All normal people love meat. If I went to a barbeque and there was no meat, I would say ‘Yo Goober! Where’s the meat?’. I’m trying to impress people here, Lisa. You don’t win friends with salad.
Indeed.
It’s D.C. Meat Week, and plenty of restaurants have joined in to celebrate all types of meat, from steak to pork ribs and barbecue chicken. So if meat is your type of thing, look below for the schedule of participating restaurants copied from the Meat Week site and the promotions they’re running.
If you’re like Lisa and love gazpacho, though (“It’s tomato soup, served ice cold!”), non-meat eaters will have their own chance next week with D.C. Meat-Free Week, with promotions from Sticky Fingers, Boundary Stone and Nage.
