You may have missed the chance to run around with your sweetie or find that special someone in skivvies on Saturday. But there’s no shortage of Valentine’s Day food and drink promotions out there for lovers or singles looking for a little bit of last minute inspiration for today’s Hallmark holiday.

Last week we told you about special milkshake chocolates available at Good Stuff Eatery as part of a Spike Mendelsohn & Santosh Tiptur collaboration, and of course there are more prix fixe Valentine’s Day dinners than you can shake a stick at. One of the more interesting ones that won’t break the bank includes The Queen Vic pairing with Samuel Smith brewery to put on a four-course dinner with beer pairings for $45 a person. The appetizer course, The Love Muscle, features grilled beef heart, while the dessert is certainly enough to make you blush — The Pink Love Tunnel, a raspberry crème brulee paired with Strawberry Ale. No reservations are being taken; it’s first come, first served.

That’s not the only beer-centric evening. Events focused more on the love of suds than anything else abound, including Capitol City Brewing Company’s Valentine’s Day tapping party for two new beers — saison and vanilla porter — if you want your drinking to have nothing to do with the day of love. If you love flowers but want a break from red roses, Pizzeria Paradiso will feature draft beers with one thing in common — they’re all made with flowers or chocolate and are half-price from 5-7 p.m.

One new event this year by new discount deal promoter SalesVote gives an option for extending the day into a weeklong celebration of confections. During Week for Chocolate, a $50 badge will grant you access to sweet treats from five of 16 participating Georgetown restaurants, ice cream shops, bakeries and other merchants. Each have designed a moment meant for two, like two chocolate martinis and a dessert from Serendipity, two chocolate covered strawberries and truffles from Godiva or a stationary workshop from Paper Source from today through Sunday. Badges are still on sale here.

For lonely hearts, newly renovated Bar Pilar pours Bitter and Sour Cocktails like Cupid’s Broken Arrow, a rum concoction with citrus pickled melon, and Tuff Love, rye whiskey with peach bitters and lemonade.

Or you could stay home with a bottle of Jack clicking through our pictures of Saturday’s Cupid’s Undie Run.
