If you really loved Tina Fey’s “Bossypants,” you should feel right at home in D.C.
According to information we dug up from the D.C. Library, Fey’s book was apparently a must-read for District residents in 2011. Not only did it receive the most hold requests last year, but it also led all others in both downloads of the audiobook and holds on the audiobook. (The library only has so many copies of any given audiobook and eBook, and if they’re all checked out at any one time, you have to put a hold on it like you would a normal book.)
Other popular reads in traditional paper format? “In the Garden of Beasts” by Eric Larson, “State of Wonder” by Ann Patchett and “Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins. “A Game of Thrones” by George R.R. Martin trailed “Bossypants” in the audiobook category, while Kathryn Stockett’s “The Help” ranked as the most widely read and request eBook.
