- This week, D.C. police were accused of juking the stats on the city’s homicide clearance rate, we looked back at the U.S. presidents that have had a distinct impact on D.C., some presidential hopefuls ran around Nats Park (with hilarious results), the D.C. Council banned profanity, we snapped some great pics at Katsucon 18, the Washington Monument celebrated its 127th birthday, and Frederick County told immigrants to speak American or leave.
- A poll found weak support for Councilmember Vincent Orange’s (D-At Large) re-election hopes, we got in touch with the owner of an Occupy-branded Mercedes (and he supports the 99 percent), we learned a few things about the alleged mastermind terrorist behind a plot to bomb the U.S. Capitol, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell backed off the worst parts of an ultrasound bill, Wawa announced it was coming (closer) to D.C., Maryland approved same-sex marriage, the location of the D.C. velodrome was confirmed, and Jeopardy! announced that it would tape some shows in D.C.
- Five area restaurants made a top-100 list, Guns N’ Roses played for way too long and we sadly said goodbye to our intrepid film critic.
