Who here was never the victim of that cafeteria bully who shook down the smaller kids for their lunch money in elementary school? It’s one of those ugly rites of passage too many kids endure.

But the case of one Baltimore second-grader suggests something far more heinous. The student’s mother, Lynsai Green, is suing her son’s special-education teacher for $200,000, claiming the instructor, Marcelius Lockes, repeatedly stole the boy’s lunch money in order to buy herself sodas, the New York Daily News reported.

The Baltimore School Board and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake are also named in the suit.

In the suit, the boy and his mother allege the Lockes “took my money to buy a soda and she says we owe her a quarter every time we act up in class.” Green also charges that Lockes was violent with students, claiming the teacher would pull the boy’s ear and use even more forceful methods on others.
