President Obama might have just signed a law strengthening the ability of law enforcement to crack down on anyone approaching an area protected by the U.S. Secret Service, but apparently, it doesn’t apply to our feathery friends.
Yesterday, a mother duck and her brace of ducklings were waddling down Pennsylvania Avenue NW in front of the White House. Mother duck decided their route should traverse the executive mansion’s front lawn and quickly hopped the base of the fence. But the little ducklings weren’t so nimble.
Caught on video by NBC4, a pair of uniformed Secret Service agents scooped up the ducklings and nudged them through the fence, where they rejoined their mother and continued on until coming to a rest in the bushes.
