Some commuters on Interstate 270 in Maryland on Friday morning might have encountered the most felicitous road obstacle we’ve ever heard of. About 9:05 a.m., state officials say, they received a call saying that an armored car traveling down the highway was spilling cash all over the road, NBC4 reports.

The vehicle’s back door was not secure, police said, causing bills in denominations up to $50 to fly out and make it rain on the traffic behind. One witness told the Associated Press the scene looked like a “snow globe of cash”.

A few drivers stopped and to grab bundles of Jacksons and Grants floating to the ground, but they shouldn’t expect to hang on to their surprise windfalls. Maryland State Police are asking anyone who found themselves on the happy end of this incident to return the money to the Rockville barracks, no questions asked.
